Why Waste Waste
WasteUP strives to create a positive global impact by transforming what is currently deemed as waste into the resources of the future.

Researchers and companies worldwide are awakening to the solutions readily available within our planet's own ecosystem.

In managing waste lies the path to a greener future.
Rethink Revaluate Reuse
Everything we envision becomes attainable when we delve deeper into nature's approach.

Upon closer examination of how nature manages waste, we observe the significant roles played by fungi and insects in the natural degradation process. The outcome of this process yields nutrient-rich soil and serves as feed for other organisms.

By adopting similar strategies tailored to human industry standards, we can effectively convert what we typically consider as waste into a diverse range of valuable resources.
This transformative approach can be perpetually repeated, leading to the establishment of a circular system known as the bio-circular economy.
Stable Sustained Success
In WasteUP, we envision a world where humanity adopts the principles found in nature to create a future that is truly sustainable.
To accomplish this we revolve around the following key aspects:

-
Automation
-
Effectivity
-
Scaleable
-
Integrateable/modular to fit existing infrastructure (in-city)
-
Futuristic / future-oriented
-
Society / community benefits
-
Impact innovation
The 17 UN sustainable goals and us
Unfortunately, we humans waste more than 30% of all produced food. Globally, a huge effort from several determined organizations and individuals are helping with various initiatives to reduce the amount of food being wasted - which we encourage to improve even more.
The food that we still have to let go WasteUP aims to upcycle, thus impacting several of the sustainable goals set by the UN.

By upcycling organic material to feed our insects we will change the need for soy-based feed in both water and on land. Fish and animals can't make their own decisions, we humans make the decisions for them, so lets make the decisions sustainable!
Insect feed is both renewable, sustainable and will be a massive contributor towards stopping deforestation of rainforest and the magnificent species that inhabits them.
